FAQs

Hart Graphics Inc

  • Are you a "green" company?

Yes, we are committed to sustainable practices. Our daily operations incorporate numerous eco-friendly initiatives, including sustainable printing methods. We're proud to contribute to global environmental preservation efforts, particularly in protecting forests. Our sustainability approach involves using paper from certified sources, vegetable-based inks, and responsibly recycling all excess materials. This commitment extends throughout our entire process, from harvesting to the final product delivery.
  • Supported software?

We accept native files or print-ready PDFs from InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Files from Canva, CorelDraw, Publisher, or Word are also acceptable if saved as high-resolution, print-ready PDF or EPS formats. Please note, all designs should include a 1/8" bleed for backgrounds, images, and elements extending past the edge.
  • Tips on how to save your design files?

For supported applications, include all fonts and graphics used in the document. Many apps offer a 'Collect for Output' or 'Package' function to simplify this process. For InDesign: convert RGB colors and images to CMYK, package all fonts and graphics, or export as high-res EPS or PDF. For Illustrator: convert RGB to CMYK, convert text to outlines, and export as high-res EPS or PDF.
  • At what resolution should I save my photos and graphics?

Set your resolution to 300 dpi for optimal print quality. Avoid using internet images, which are typically low resolution (72 or 96 dpi) and will appear pixelated when printed. Save photos in CMYK mode when possible for better print results. If you're unable to save in CMYK, please inform us.
  • Can Hart Graphics print large format prints on media besides paper?

Indeed, we offer printing on a diverse range of media. We provide a complimentary sample swatch book showcasing examples of all our available substrates and laminates. Feel free to request one to explore your options.
  • Does Hart Graphics sell or rent display booths?

Yes, we do. We're authorized resellers for several popular display manufacturers and also offer display booths for rent. For more details about our display services, please contact us via phone or email.
  • How do I go about getting an estimate from you?

For the most accurate quote, we recommend using the 'Request An Estimate' link on our homepage. Alternatively, you can call us directly to speak with a customer service representative who will ensure we gather all necessary information for a precise estimate.
  • How long does it take for you to complete my order?

Completion time varies depending on the project. Let us know your deadline, and we'll inform you if it's feasible. We make every effort to meet even the most stringent timelines.
  • I would like my brochure and business cards printed in color, but I only need 250. Is it cost-effective to print such a small quantity?

Absolutely. Our Konica printer is designed for efficiency, allowing us to produce small quantities cost-effectively without sacrificing quality. This makes it economical to print even limited runs of color materials like brochures and business cards.
  • What file format should I use when submitting my electronic document for printing?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is our preferred and most common file format for digital document submission. Most programs can generate print-suitable PDFs with a PDF print driver installed on your computer. These drivers are available online, both commercially and for free. Ensure your PDF is high-resolution and includes at least 1/16" bleed (1/8" is preferable).
